If you are looking for the "Lanzarote Jet Ski Centre" or the "Water Sports Centre" in Puerto del Carmen, you won't find it under that name: no company is called that. The one with its own base at both of the island's jet ski launch points is Paracraft Lanzarote, which sells online as "Lanzarote Watersports". The other names that come up in searches (Club Canary, OK Lanzarote, Sunbonoo, Canco Travel Services) are agencies reselling the same trips.
Who they are
Paracraft has been running since 1998 and bills itself as Lanzarote's first water sports centre. It has two bases: Playa Chica, on the Paseo Pila de la Barrilla in Puerto del Carmen, and Marina Rubicón, in Playa Blanca. It deals with customers in Spanish and English, by phone and WhatsApp on +34 658 429 357. Its website is watersports-lanzarote.com.
There is no record of a base in Costa Teguise or Puerto Calero: agencies pick you up from your hotel there and take you to Puerto del Carmen.
What they sell and jet ski prices
Puerto del Carmen: 20-minute jet ski (single or double), 45-minute and 2-hour safaris, parascending, Crazy Bull, Crazy UFO, banana boat (€20 per person) and packages combining jet ski with buggy and parascending.
Playa Blanca: safaris to the Papagayo beaches and the Pechiguera lighthouse, parascending, Crazy UFO and flyboard.
Paracraft only shows its prices inside its booking system, so there is no published direct rate. These are the prices from the agencies that resell its trips, per jet ski for one or two people:
| Trip (agency price) | Price per jet ski |
|---|---|
| 20 min in Puerto del Carmen | €60 |
| 40 min to Playa Quemada | €100 |
| 60 min | €145 |
| 2-hour safari to Papagayo | €289 |
| 2-hour safari towards Playa Honda and Arrecife | €250 |
| 40 min to Papagayo from Marina Rubicón | €130–160 |
On GetYourGuide the island's most-reviewed ride costs from €70 (4.7 out of 5, more than a thousand reviews); check the listing for the departure point.
Rules: age limit, weight and licence
- Age: drivers from 18, or from 16 with parental consent. Safaris require a minimum age of 16.
- Weight: 120 kg on a single jet ski; 150 kg combined on a double.
- Parascending: from age 8 with an adult and up to 75; 100 kg for a solo flight, 160 kg tandem and 180 kg for three.
- Licence: not needed, because you are on a guided safari. In Spain, riding a jet ski on your own requires a boating qualification.
- Kit: a T-shirt under the life jacket is compulsory. Insurance is included.
Booking, cancellation and bad weather
This is the weak spot. Paracraft's policy is no cancellations: you can change the date with 24 hours' notice and, if the weather stops the trip going ahead, they offer you another activity; refunds are for exceptional cases only. Some agencies reselling the same trips advertise free cancellation up to 72 hours before. If your dates might move, that difference matters more than the price.
From July to September, book at least four days ahead. One agency charges €10 extra for hotel pick-up and limits the safari to four jet skis; its "Arrecife safari" leaves from Puerto del Carmen.
What the reviews say
The reviews Paracraft highlights on its own website, taken from Tripadvisor and therefore chosen by the company, keep coming back to four points: a clear safety briefing for people who have never been on a jet ski, staff helping to switch days, about 10 minutes in the air on parascending within a trip of around 50, and the line "it's not cheap, but it's worth it". For the negative reviews, look them up yourself on Tripadvisor and on the platform you book through.

Who should book and the alternatives
Book with Paracraft, or with an agency reselling its places, if you want a no-licence jet ski trip in Puerto del Carmen or Playa Blanca; if your plans are open, buy where cancellation is free. If you are heading to Papagayo and staying in the south, the 40-minute tour from Marina Rubicón costs half as much as the 2-hour safari.
Submarine, catamaran to Papagayo, diving at Playa Chica and surfing at Famara: it is all in our guide to jet skis and water sports in Lanzarote. For diving island by island, diving in the Canary Islands; to compare with another island, water sports in Gran Canaria. More ideas in the Lanzarote guide.
