Headout reviews in short: it is a reliable company that responds quickly, but in the Canary Islands it is marginal outside Tenerife. There it is mainly useful for Siam Park and Loro Parque at €44, with cancellation up to 48 hours before and pay-later. On Gran Canaria it sells the three big parks at gate prices; on Lanzarote, lots of listings with hardly any reviews; on the western islands, nothing.
Worth bearing in mind: this site earns commission from GetYourGuide and Tiqets, Headout's competitors, and the link to Headout may also earn us a commission. The facts are the same with or without it.
What Headout is and who is behind it
Headout Inc. is a privately owned Delaware company with an address in New York. It says it has served more than 56 million customers. It works as a marketplace: your contract is with the provider, although, unlike GetYourGuide, Tiqets or Viator, the product listing does not say which company will be looking after you.

A telling detail: Headout marks its Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura pages so that search engines do not show them, a sign they are not a priority. For the western islands, use Civitatis or GetYourGuide, or book direct (on El Hierro, the dive centres in La Restinga).
Headout prices vs the official website
On single tickets, Headout charges the same as the gate: Siam Park and Loro Parque, €44; Aqualand Maspalomas, €41; Palmitos Park, €39; Poema del Mar, €29. Like the other platforms, it does not match the park's online offer:
| Where | Ticket | Rating | Price | Where to book |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| GetYourGuide | Maspalomas: Aqualand Maspalomas Water Park Entry Ticket | 4.1 (1,654) | €41 | View on GetYourGuide |
| Tiqets | Aqualand Maspalomas: Online Ticket | 4.2 (217) | €41 | View on Tiqets |
| Official website | Aqualand Maspalomas, official online fare (from; €41 at the gate) | — | €32 Cheapest | Official site ↗ |
Adult prices checked on 2 October 2026. They may vary by date; each site confirms the final price.
Its "Save 10%" combos are worse still: Aqualand Maspalomas + Palmitos Park, €72 against €62 for the official two-park ticket; on Tenerife, Jungle Park + Aqualand, €69 against €51 online. The "saving" is worked out against two gate prices. On top of that, its terms allow a service fee to be added at checkout: look at the total before you confirm.
Headout cancellation, refunds and customer service
- Cancellation: depends on each product. On Tenerife, Siam Park and Loro Parque can be cancelled free of charge up to 48 hours before, with pay-later (stricter than GetYourGuide's 24 hours or Civitatis's 12); Aqualand and Jungle Park cannot be cancelled or changed. On Gran Canaria, check the deadline on the listing.
- Refunds: Headout refunds you within seven days of receiving the money from the provider. If your payment method is unavailable, it gives you "Headout Credits", which are not cash: ask for the refund to go to your card.
- "Headout Promise" guarantee: a change or refund if the venue closes, the provider cancels or something included is missing; it does not cover bad weather, queues, arriving late or your own cancellation.
- Customer service: 24/7 by chat, phone (the "Call us" button on the website) and email at support@headout.com; it says it resolves issues within 48 hours.
Headout reviews: is it legit?
Yes: 4.4 out of 5 on Trustpilot from 63,917 reviews (14% one-star), 4.65 on the App Store and 4.71 on Google Play (UK). It replies to 99% of negative reviews, usually within 24 hours.
Reviewers praise the simple booking and the staff. The complaints mention bookings that do not show up, queues at the ticket office, unexpected charges and the odd customer reporting mark-ups of 30–50% on the official price. That was not the case on the Canary Islands tickets we compared: it charged the gate price.

Who it suits, and the alternatives
Headout makes sense if you already use its app and want Siam Park or Loro Parque with pay-later. For boat trips and excursions, GetYourGuide has a far bigger range and more reviews; for single park tickets on Gran Canaria and Lanzarote, Tiqets or the official website. Its Tenerife range is here: Headout in Tenerife (this link may pay us a commission). All our reviews are in operators and platforms.
