Aqualand Maspalomas is Gran Canaria's big water park, the one with the big slides. It isn't on the beach but inland, on the road up to Palmitos Park, and it opens every day of the year. It is run by the Aspro group, which also runs Palmitos Park, hence the combined ticket for the two.

Our verdict: it is worth a day out if your children are tall enough for the big slides (Hurakan requires over 1.20 m) and if you buy a dated ticket on the official website. Bring your own food, which is allowed, and expect to pay extra for a sunlounger and a locker.

Our pick

1

If you pay through GetYourGuide

Same price as the gate (€41). The official website is cheaper for a fixed date; here you pay for the convenience of having everything in one app.

2

For ages 3 to 13 in Puerto Rico

Angry Birds Activity Park: trampolines, zip lines and a splash zone. It is not a water park.

3

For after Aqualand

Holiday World's Wooland funfair opens at 16:00 from Wednesday to Sunday, just as Aqualand winds down for the day.

Aqualand Maspalomas tickets: official website, gate and platforms

These are the official prices for non-residents. The online ticket from the official shop is for a fixed date and its price changes with the day you choose; the ‘from’ price is the minimum.

Adult prices checked on 2 October 2026. They may vary by date; each site confirms the final price.

GetYourGuide and Tiqets sell the adult ticket at €41, the same as the gate; the official website has it from €32. For Aqualand Maspalomas, the park's own website is cheaper, and any price above €41 is worse than buying at the door.

Are there 2-for-1 deals or discounts at Aqualand Maspalomas?

There is no 2-for-1 among the official tickets; what there is are packs. The Family Pack (2+2) costs from €106, against €108 for the four cheapest online tickets and €144 at the gate. The Friends Pack (4 adults) costs from €126, against €128 online and €164 at the gate. Their real advantage is that they are undated tickets, valid for 90 days, though not on the day you buy them. If a one-off promotion comes up, you will see it in the official shop: check there before buying anywhere else.

Aqualand Maspalomas prices for Canary Islands residents

These rates are only for people who live in the islands, so most visitors won't qualify. With an original Spanish ID card (DNI) proving residence: adults €25 at the gate (from €24 online), children €18, mini €10 and seniors €19. Without the original document at the gate, you pay the standard rate.

2 Parks ticket with Palmitos Park: is it worth it?

The combined Aqualand and Palmitos Park ticket costs €62 per adult. Compared with two tickets at the gate (€41 + €39 = €80) you save €18. Compared with the two cheapest online (€32 + €35 = €67), only €5. For a child, it is €45 against €60 at the gate.

It pays off if you are doing both parks and don't want to be tied to dates. Palmitos Park opens daily from 10:00 to 18:00 (last entry at 17:00) and does have dolphins; Aqualand Maspalomas has no animal shows at all.

Aqualand Maspalomas opening hours and calendar

  • All year: open every day from 10:00 to 17:00.
  • July and August: 10:00 to 18:00.
  • Slides: close 30 minutes before the park, at 16:30 (or 17:30 in summer).

There are no refunds for bad weather or closed rides. The weather, month by month, is in the Canary Islands weather guide.

Rides and height restrictions

Rides include Kamikaze, Tsunami, Anaconda, Hurakan, the Río del Pirata (Pirate River), Adventure Land and the new children's area, Skull Bay; the new restaurant is La Cantina.

Some of the height limits: Hurakan, over 1.20 m; Tukakame, over 1.00 m; Skull Bay, only for children under 1.40 m. The full list is on the park map: if your child is around 1.10 or 1.20 m, measure them before you go.

Getting to Aqualand Maspalomas: buses and parking

The park has no street address; it is on the Palmitos Park road, north of Maspalomas (GPS 27°46′43″N 15°36′21″W).

  • Bus 45: from Bahía Feliz, San Agustín and Playa del Inglés.
  • Bus 70: from Puerto de Mogán, Puerto Rico and Faro de Maspalomas. It continues to Palmitos Park, so it works for the combined ticket. From the Faro to Los Palmitos it costs €2.65.
  • By car: the car park is private and paid, and not included in the ticket.

  • Food: you can bring your own food and drink, but no glass. Eat in the picnic areas.
  • Phones and cameras: phone pouches and GoPro-style cameras are banned on the rides, and selfie sticks throughout the park.
  • Paid extras: sunloungers are not included. The website doesn't publish prices for lockers, sunloungers, Fast Pass or parking: allow a bit extra.

Other water parks in Gran Canaria (and what there is in Puerto Rico)

Is there a water park in Puerto Rico, Gran Canaria?

No. Puerto Rico has no water park. You have three options nearby:

  1. Los Lagos de Taurito Park (Lago Taurito), in Taurito, the next resort along towards Puerto de Mogán. It opens 365 days a year from 10:00 to 18:00 (slides 10:30 to 17:30) and claims to be the only park on the island with seawater. An adult ticket costs between €10 and €19 depending on the season (the expensive one runs from June to mid-September) and a child's (3 to 10) between €5 and €8; daily rates at tauritopark.es. Parking costs €10 a day and tickets cannot be changed or refunded. Some slides have been temporarily closed and recent reviews complain about maintenance: ask what is working before you pay.
  2. Aqualand Maspalomas, on bus 70 from Puerto Rico with no change.
  3. Angry Birds Activity Park, on Avenida de la Cornisa in Puerto Rico. It is a 5,000 m² play park for ages 3 to 13 with trampolines, zip lines, a climbing wall and mini golf; the water is limited to a splash zone and foam parties.

More on the area in Puerto Rico and Puerto de Mogán.

Angry Birds Activity Park: price and opening hours

It opens Thursday to Monday from 10:00 to 18:00; closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. A day ticket costs €17 for ages 5 to 13, €13 from 14, €9 for ages 3 to 4 and over-65s, and is free from 0 to 2: here children pay more than adults. There are no refunds, but you can change the date within 90 days if you let them know before 09:30 on the day of your visit. We look at it in detail in our Angry Birds Activity Park review.

Holiday World Maspalomas: for the evening, not the water

Holiday World has no water rides: it is a funfair (Wooland, more than 30 rides) and a bowling alley. The funfair opens Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday from 16:00 to 23:00 and Friday and Saturday until 23:30; the bowling alley every day from 10:00 to 24:00.

What doesn't exist

  • Siam Park Gran Canaria: announced in 2015 for El Veril, in San Bartolomé de Tirajana. The courts have upheld the licence, but there is no opening date. The Siam Park that does exist is in Tenerife: Siam Park and Loro Parque.
  • ‘Atlántida water park’: the Parque Submarino La Atlántida in Puerto de Mogán is an artificial reef that you visit by submarine, not a waterslide park. See Submarine Adventure.

To compare with the parks on the other islands (which close in winter, which have heated water), see water parks in the Canary Islands. The park's full profile, with the company behind it and reviews, is in our Aqualand Maspalomas review. And for the rest of the area, Maspalomas and the dunes.
